Wildlands Conservancy: Bike & Boat Adventures: Canoe on Long Pond
We’ll provide the canoes, paddles and personal floatation devices (pfd’s) for this chance in a lifetime opportunity to explore this unique habitat. Long Pond is one of Audubon Society’s Important Bird Areas of Pennsylvania. These moor-like heath lands also boast Rhodora — a rare, pink-flowered, wild azalea that attracts photographers from around the world and makes Long Pond one of the most important moth and butterfly habitats in the state. Payment is due at time of registration. We’ll send the meeting location once you register.
